Crackenback is dedicated to the raw and peaceful beauty of the alpine region of New South Wales. Inspired by the quiet stillness of this landscape, the work reflects the deep sense of calm and connection I feel when in the bush. There’s a sense of harmony between land and wildlife that feels both grounding and sacred. If you look closely I have painted a mob of kangaroos hidden amongst the tall grass which invites the viewer to slow down, take time and immerse themselves in the landscape just as I had experienced. Finding beauty in the details that are often so easily missed.
