This work was inspired by my travels heading towards the Great Ocean Road, where we stopped in at Tathra during the devastating bushfires of 2019/20. At the time, dark, stormy clouds hung heavy in the sky, a haunting sign of the fires burning nearby. I’ve used thick, expressive brushstrokes to capture the movement of the storm clouds as they hung ominously over the windswept ocean of Tathra Wharf.
