Something truly amazing happened today. As I was completing this piece (funnily enough, painting in the black cockatoos), I heard the joyful screeches of black cockatoos coming from outside my art studio and I quickly ran outside to see a whole flock of black cockatoos soaring above the house. A truly wonderful sight that brings instant joy! 
Inspired by this small but beautiful moment, and by the view from the Ulladulla lighthouse overlooking the ocean, I’ve titled this artwork ‘when they called.’
